The first part of Psalm 138:8 says, “The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me.”
This is a deeply personal Psalm where David gives thanks to God and praises Him for preserving his life and fulfilling His purpose in David’s life.
My encouragement to you today is to lift your eyes to The Lord and give Him thanks and praise for all He has done in your life.
Sometimes, we get discouraged and begin to only see the negative things happening in life. I have personally dealt with long stretches of discouragement in my life.
Maybe you have too.
The one thing that has consistently brought me out of those valleys is taking the time to remember what God has done in my life.
I will even go to the extent of writing down the list of blessings and miracles that God has done for me and my family.
Once I get to about #3 or #4 on the list, I begin to realize how truly blessed I am, and then start to change my perspective.
Going through this process will help you too.
Take the time today to give thanks and remember what The Lord Has done in your life.
Remember how He has delivered you and kept you until now. There is a reason for that.
God has a purpose for you and He WILL fulfill it.
I pray you will seek to understand what that purpose is, and then commit to walking in it.
That will bring you joy and peace, so much so that you won’t be able to contain your praise and thanksgiving to The Lord.
May He bless you and keep you today.
Blessings in Christ,
Jeff
